Home Remedies for Backache

Backache is a pain occurring in the back as a result of degenerative ranges, injury and swelling or sporadically by cancer. The lower back gets affected and the pain sharply increases when the patient tries to bend in the forward direction. The back muscles become tender and weak. The home remedies are the most effective medications when it comes to curing back pain

Wheat soaked overnight is mixed with half quantity of cuscus grass. This mixture is added with 4x quantity of boiled milk and half the measure of coriander. This mixture is consumed to relieve back pain.

Cuscus grass and sugar in equal volumes are taken to relieve back ache. This is taken daily twice along with 5 grams of warm milk. Warm water mixed with a tablespoon of honey is also used to administer back pain. Exercise and a brisk walk play a major role for curing back pain in the long run.

Care should be taken on the surface one sets his foot on as it influences back ache. Both extremely hard beds and extremely cozy beds should be avoided in order that the back gets adequate rest.

Bending directly to pick any object from the ground surface should be avoided. Bending the knees and picking it up saves the back from the pressure.

Avoid a sedentary way of life. Stretching once an hour relieves the back from the pressure.

Sitting in the same position for a long duration of time can have an adverse effect on a person's back. Avoiding seats that are well cushioned is also recommended.

The patients of strained back are advised to rest on a mattress that is plain and stiff. Folding both the knees at right angles is also advisable.

Radiotherapy involving infrared radiations succeeded by hot fomentation, alternate sponging provides immense relief from back pains.

A castor oil massage on the strained region provides relief. Reducing obesity also has a wonderful effect as the excess weight induces pressure on the back.

Specific yoga asanas such as Bhujang asana, Uttarpad asana Shalabh asana, Shabva asana and Hala asana can work wonders on a troubled back in the long run.
