What is Body odor?
Body odor is a kind of unpleasant and repulsive smell associated with a person's body and it may affect your social life. Generally body odor is affected by what sweat glands produce, but sweat does not cause odor. Some of the bacteria on the skin release unpleasant smelling chemicals. In some part of the body such as armpits and genital areas excess sweat produce than other part of our body. The use of deodorants worsens the condition as it contains various toxic or poisonous chemicals and products of heavy metals like aluminum and these toxic chemicals remove the process of sweating by jamming the sweat pores.
Causes of Body Odor
Body odor may be causes due to serious illness, kidney disease, fungal infections, and liver disease. Apart from that if you take some strong medicines then the smell of those medicines may be present in your body and causes body odor and Diabetic patients may smell of acetone because of insulin that they take. If you use drugs such as drinking alcohol, smoking cigarette then you will have an unpleasant body odor. Other causes of body odor are constipation, extra secretion of hormones, menopause in women, Nervousness, Any protracted and constant disease, and poor hygiene is the most common cause for body odor.
Symptoms of Body Odor
The major symptoms of body odor are due to nervousness or anxiety and heavy sweating due to exhausting physical exercise. You may feel the unpleasant smell or odor yourself.
Home remedies for Body Odor
Try to use some antibacterial soap for body odor due to sweating.
One of the natural body odor remedy is take 500 mg of wheat grass with a glass of water everyday in an empty stomach. It reduces the body smell.
Use alcohol or white vinegar for cleaning the armpits.
In summer wear cotton clothes so that the sweat is soaked up.
You can apply baking soda on armpits so that it absorb sweat and kill bacteria.
Before taking bath put some drops of rose water in the bath tub. This is one of the simplest and best remedy for body odor.
Mix some baking soda with lemon juice and massage this mixture on underarms. It will more effective.
Take 30 mm of water and put 10 drops of the essential oil. Then apply it in underarms which reduce body odor.
In summer try to take bath three times a day for reducing more sweating.
