Home Remedies for Chicken Pox

Chicken pox is caused by the virus called varicella zoster. It spreads from one person to another by air or direct contact with chicken pox or herpes lesion. It is mostly occurs in last of winter or first of spring. Chicken pox is a highly infectious disease and influence about three fourth of children before the age of 15. The symptoms of chicken pox appears in one to three weeks after the person urge the virus. Chicken pox is not so dangerous but sometimes it may affect the eyes and the lungs. Don't scratch the affected area by your nail, because it causes infection and scars.

Symptoms of Chicken Pox in Babies

The main symptoms of chicken pox are: in the early stage an itch rash with small red spot appears on the upper part of the body such as face and neck. After that it turns into fluid filled sores. And at the last stage sores burst and scab over. You may also have low fever during chicken pox. There may be painful sores presents inside the mouth or vagina or around the eyes.

Home Remedies for Chicken Pox

Some of the good home remedies available for chicken pox are as follows.

Add half cup of brown vinegar with warm water and then take bath. This will helps to reduce the irritation or swelling of the skin. It is the best home remedy for chicken pox.

Cook two cups of oatmeal in two liters of water for fifteen minutes. Put this solution in a cotton cloth bag and tie string around the top. Let the bag float into the warm water in a tub. Then swished around till the water become muddy. Take a bath. This one is the natural home remedy for chicken pox.

Cooked fresh green pea with water and use it. It is another effective treatment for chicken pox which helps to reduce irritation of the skin.

Baking soda is another treatment for reducing swelling or itching during chicken pox. Put some baking soda in a glass of water. Then clean affected area with this water.

Vitamin E oil is use for removing the marks after chicken pox. Rub this oil in skin regularly.

Apply in the affected area. This will helps to healing the disease within three days.

Take a soup made by carrot and coriander once in a day. This is very effective for chicken pox.
