Home Remedies for Cramp

Cramps are common involuntary muscle spasms that occur during vigorous activity in a relatively hot environment. No single factor has been identified as the cause of muscle cramps. Possible causes of cramps during exercise include metabolic factors such as acids, ions, proteins, and hormones. One more risk is injuring to the connective tissue in muscle due to repetitive peculiar muscle reductions connected with stretched with weight. Cramps after exercise may be due to fatigue induced neuromuscular changes. These changes have increased baseline electromyographic activity.

Types of Cramps

Leg cramps are painful contractions of other muscles of the leg. They occur most commonly at night and last for seconds to minutes; some women find they get more leg cramps in certain positions. These kinds of cramps are more common in mature women and during pregnancy. The exact cause of leg cramps is unknown.

Menstrual cramps - Cramping generally occurs in the pelvic area, but it is also common for the pain to radiate into the low back and down into the legs. Severe menstrual cramps often cause associated symptoms, such as diarrhea, low back pain, and nausea.

  • Stools may be bloody or contain mucus.
  • General ill feeling with fatigue.
  • Fever may occur.
  • Children with this condition may not grow at a normal rate, and have delayed puberty.
  • Gassiness.

Home Remedies for Cramp

Home Remedies are very good for Cramps, for some problems consult a doctor. Some of the remedies are given below:

Crush garlic cloves, boil with coconut oil, and then massage with that oil on the cramps gives immediate relief.

Massage with sesame oil daily before bath.

Grated red carrots fried on fire with little ghee or butter and mixed with little jaggery twice a day eliminates cramps.

Perineal work can be helpful to cramps.

Your top priority is to drink more water for cramps.

Intake of banana is good for cramps.

Apply castor oil on cramps.

During menstrual cramp pain, drink the decoction of neem tree bark and fenugreek boil with water in the empty stomach in the early morning for three days during the periods for women. This remedy should be continued for three months only on those periods. Permanent relief for menstrual cramps.

For leg cramp pain, take medium hot water in a tub add one handful of crystal salt, soak the legs, till the water becomes cool. This is best relief for leg cramps.

Application of heat gives good relief sot stomach cramps.
