What is Dark Skin?

Dark skin is a curse for the fair complexion people. In dark color skin there is more melanin then fair skin. So increase of melanin in the body can be causes dark skin. It is not a common problem, but it takes a long time for cure.

Symptoms of Dark Skin

The main symptom of dark skin is dark patches on blackish or dark brown skin. Other signs of dark skin are appearance of marks and scars over the skin.

Causes of Dark Skin

The common causes of dark skin are due to genetic factors that mean if the persons having dark skin then their children also have dark skin, because the genes is transfer from one generation to next. Some of the skin disorder also causes dark skin such as lichen simplex chronicus, severe itching on skin. Heavy exposures to the sun light and hyper pigmentation are other major factors of dark skin.

Home Remedies for Dark Skin

Some of the useful home remedies for dark skin are present in below.

Soak three to four almonds in water throughout the night, and then make a paste by using milk. This is a best home remedy. Continue this process for 15 days.

Make a face pack by mixing one tea spoon of milk powder, lemon juice, half tea spoon of almond oil, then put the pack on your face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. This is the best home remedy for removing tan on the skin.

Put the slice of raw potato on the face. It will help to reduce the marks on the skin.

Apply the mixture of oatmeal, curd and tomato juice over the face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Then clean it with cold water. It also a good home remedy for removing tan and refresh the skin.

One of the natural remedy for dark skin is application of turmeric powder with lemon juice.

Application of ground mint pastes on face also a good home remedy for dark skin.

For removing scars apply dried orange peels with curd on your face.

Add two to three drops of lemon juice on a grated tomato. Then apply it on your face and wash it after 15 minutes. Continue this process for a month. This is one of the effective home remedy for dark skin.
