Mascara is another popular makeup tools used for highlighting the eye lashes. After applying mascara eye lashes gets separated and looks more attractive. Water Based Eye Mascara: Basically mascara are of two types, water based mascara and water proof mascara. The commonly used mascara is water based mascara, which is very easy to use and also can be removed easily by using water. The only demerit of this mascara is it gets smear with the contact of water and tears.

Waterproof Mascara: To avoid such problem the waterproof mascara came into the market. This kind of mascara stays for longer period. The waterproof mascara can be removed by using special type of remover. You can wear this type of mascara regularly for longer duration. Some are using both water based and water proof mascara combinable for getting special effects.

There are a number of eye mascara colors available and the most popular colors are black, brown, blue, green, yellow, and some natural colors. The brown and black mascara gives a dramatic look to the eye.

How to apply Mascara

You should apply mascara after applying all other eye makeup. You can use little powder on eye lashes before applying mascara because it will keep mascara for long time. Apply mascara with thin layer on the eye lashes with upward direction and covers both sides of the lash in the same manner and let it be dry. Then, apply another coat. On the lower lashes apply thick coated mascara. Finally comb the lashes by using a fine brush. Do not blink your eyes while applying mascara. It is a best way to use a remover for cleaning mascara.
