Home Remedies Varicose Veins

A condition characterized by swollen, knotted blood vessels, usually in the legs is called varicose veins. Blood returning to the heart from the legs is pushed against cavity; therefore, the veins in the legs have a special valve to keep the blood from running backward. If a vein is weakened from obesity, lack of exercise, long stretches of sitting or standing, etc., it properly. Blood then leaks backward and gathers in pools that further weakens the vein.

Varicose veins may be temporary, as in the case of pregnancy when they are caused by the strain of carrying the additional weight, or when long periods of sitting or standing are not part of the normal life style. In such cases, resumption of normal activity and exercise may help them to return to normal.

The condition is obvious, as it develops close to the skin and appears as twisting, bulging lines that run down the legs, often with dark blue spots or sections. Often the ankles swell and the skin in the affected area becomes dry and itchy. In severe cases there may be shooting pains and cramps, especially at night.

Varicose veins are not necessarily serious in themselves, but they may allow the formation of clots or inflammation that can lead to more serious problems in the future.

Walking is good for your legs and veins. Beyond that give exercise to your legs. Sitting in the chair itself, turn your feet at the ankles clockwise and then to the anti-clockwise and in circular movement. Next exercise is lengthening your legs frontward and positions your toes to the roof, then to the ground. Then raise your feet to the ground and slowly turn your legs backward and forward at the knees.

Do not stand or sit continuously hours together. If your work required standing, change your weight from one leg to another leg every few minutes.

Do not wear tight clothes as they may disturb the proper blood cirlulation.

Quit smoking, as it will damage your vascular veins.

Drink all kind of uncooked juices which contains vitamins and all nutrients. for Varicose Veins.

When you are sitting down on the floor, rotate each leg finger clockwise and anti-clockwise motion. This is also one of the exercises for Varicose Veins.

Drink light tea, coffee.

Avoid stuffy foods and milk products.

Meditation like yoga practices is very good for Varicose Veins.
