Why Do We Need Vitamins

Vitamins were called vitamins by a Polish biochemist as the life’s amino acids. Vitamins are basically organic compounds which our body needs for all of its metabolic processes. This is an understood fact that except very few vitamins, we need to supply all the other vitamins to our body externally through diet or supplements.

Three vitamins are made internally in our bodies which are vitamin K, D and B-3. The best thing which can give you adequate amount of vitamin is natural diet and then on second come all the vitamin supplements. If you want to avoid any kind of vitamin deficiency then, you should quit all kind of processed food. This is the greatest tip because all of the processe3d food is specifically low in vitamins.

There are two main categories of vitamins which are water soluble and fat soluble. In fat soluble vitamins include A, beta-carotene, D, E, and K. the characteristics of these vitamins are little different from other vitamins which are water soluble. Most of them are available in adipose tissue and liver and body gets them from these two organs whenever needed. The deficiency of these vitamins is very rare and they can cause very dangerous effects when taken in large quantity. Best sources of fat soluble vitamins are plant fats, plant oils, vegetables, meat, liver, butter, fish and egg yolks. Now from this, you can know that why do we need vitamins.

Vitamin B complex and vitamin C are regarded as the water soluble vitamins. They are mostly present in all kinds of body fluids including blood cells. They are present in the body in very small amount and this is the reason that we need daily supply of these vitamins. They have no side effect on our body if taken in large quantity as they are water soluble, so they come out of the body in urine if you take them in large amount.

The natural sources are fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products but as our body needs a daily supply of these vitamins, so you can have difficulty in adding them to your daily routine diet. So as a precaution, if you think that your routine is little shaggy, you can have them in supplements form because supplements are the best pure form of vitamins. They are purely harmless and they will fulfill all of your vitamin needs.
